We've installed a Waggle Pet Safety Monitor in each of our RVs. No matter where you're camping—with or without a WiFi hookup—Waggle uses its own cellular connection to keep tabs on conditions inside the RV and alert you the moment something changes.
Safe ranges we monitor: Temperature below 80°F and above 55°F, humidity from 40% to 70%, and AC power loss alerts.
A few simple habits make a big difference for your pet's comfort and safety on the road.
Air conditioning can fail unexpectedly. Always use a monitor like Waggle so you're alerted immediately if the interior temperature rises—even when you're miles away.
Bring a copy of your pet's vaccination records and any medications they need. Some campgrounds require proof of rabies vaccination before allowing pets on site.
Include tweezers for ticks, antiseptic wipes, gauze, and your vet's emergency contact. Outdoor environments expose pets to hazards they don't encounter at home.
Not all campgrounds allow pets, and some have breed or size restrictions. Always confirm pet policies when booking your sites to avoid surprises on arrival.
Make sure your pet's ID tags and microchip registration are current with your cell number before you leave. New environments can cause even well-behaved pets to bolt.
Campgrounds are wildlife territory. Keep pets on a leash at all times outdoors, especially at dawn and dusk when animals like coyotes and raccoons are most active.
